Hundreds of families responded to the altar call to rededicate their marriages and families to the Lord as Dr Willie , and Elaine Oliver appealed on May 19, 2018. Over 400 people were baptized , 41 souls on the site and 405 others from different locations. This was after they received the message of God’s love through Hope Channel Kenya and other media platforms.

Dr Willie Oliver and his wife Elaine Oliver who serve as Family Ministry Directors of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church spoke uplifting and enriching bible based sermons at Victory Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kisumu from May 12 to May 19 , 2018. Thousands of eager listeners thronged the venue every evening , while many others were glued to their Television sets and other electronic gadgets to catch the messages that were also streamed via YouTube and Facebook.

Listeners from across the country kept on sending messages of appreciation. the speakers came with timely messages, given the most families are highly challenged in numerous ways . Dr Samuel Misiani, the president of West Kenya Union Conference who played host to the General Conference leaders, confirmed that many lives were positively impacted in Kisumu and as a result of the evangelistic meetings, they would not be the same again. He thanked the Oliver’s for their awesome presentation . He further urged the residents of Kisumu and the membership of West Kenya Union Conference to be truly committed to their families and to faithfully adhere to the messages they had received.

Pastor John Tuwei, who serves as the Family Ministries Director in West Kenya Union Conference, while speaking on behalf of members, affirmed that the ministry of Oliver’s was much appreciated and that they will be needed again in West Kenya Union . The local church leadership is now tasked with the big responsibility of Nurturing those who gave their lives to the Lord.
